Purpose
OzSpy Security Solutions is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment. We believe all individuals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and we provide equal opportunities to all employees, applicants, customers, and stakeholders. This policy outlines our commitment to promoting diversity, preventing discrimination and harassment, and ensuring compliance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), and the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld).
Scope
This policy applies to all OzSpy employees, franchisees, contractors, and representatives, including full-time, part-time, casual, and contract staff, as well as job applicants, customers, suppliers, and any individual interacting with OzSpy Security Solutions.
Prohibited Discrimination
OzSpy strictly prohibits any form of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation based on protected attributes, including (but not limited to):
- Race, colour, ethnicity, or national origin
- Sex, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation
- Age, marital or parental status, or pregnancy
- Religion, political belief, or trade union activity
- Disability, medical condition, or genetic information
- Any other attribute protected under Queensland or Commonwealth law
Equal Employment Opportunity
All employment decisions — including recruitment, training, promotion, and termination — are based on merit, qualifications, and performance. We do not tolerate bias or prejudice in any employment or customer-facing process.
Harassment and Bullying
OzSpy maintains a zero-tolerance approach to workplace harassment or bullying of any kind. Harassment includes unwelcome verbal, physical, or visual conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment. This policy applies to all interactions — whether between employees, franchisees, managers, clients, or suppliers.
Reasonable Adjustment
We will provide reasonable adjustments to accommodate employees or applicants with disabilities, family responsibilities, or other protected needs, unless doing so would cause undue hardship to the business. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the individual.
Reporting and Complaints
Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, or bullying is encouraged to report it promptly to their manager, franchise owner, or OzSpy Head Office. All complaints will be handled confidentially and investigated fairly and promptly. Retaliation against anyone who makes or supports a complaint is strictly prohibited.
Disciplinary Action
Any employee or representative found to have breached this policy may face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. Customers or suppliers engaging in discriminatory or harassing behaviour may also have their business relationship with OzSpy terminated.
Training and Awareness
Where required, OzSpy may provide refresher training or awareness materials to staff or franchisees to reinforce expected standards of behaviour. Breaches of this policy may result in additional targeted training to prevent recurrence.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation and to reflect changes in organisational practice or legal standards.
