Purpose
OzSpy Security Solutions is dedicated to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all individuals associated with our operations. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy toward abuse, racism, and harassment. This policy applies to employees, franchisees, contractors, clients, suppliers, and all other parties interacting with OzSpy. We are committed to promoting a culture of respect, dignity, and fairness, and to taking swift action against any form of mistreatment or discrimination.
Policy Statement
OzSpy is committed to providing a workplace and customer environment free from abuse, racism, and harassment. All individuals are expected to behave respectfully, courteously, and lawfully at all times when representing or engaging with the company.
Definitions
- Abuse: Any physical, verbal, emotional, or psychological mistreatment, coercion, or harm inflicted on another person.
- Racism: Any act, comment, or behaviour that discriminates against or marginalises a person based on race, ethnicity, nationality, or cultural background.
- Harassment: Any unwelcome verbal, written, visual, or physical conduct based on a protected attribute (e.g., race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation) that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.
Scope
This policy applies to all OzSpy workplaces and activities, including offices, job sites, client premises, events, meetings, social functions, and all work-related online or digital communications.
Prohibited Conduct
Examples of prohibited conduct include, but are not limited to:
- Verbal or written abuse, including slurs, threats, or offensive jokes.
- Dishonest or defamatory accusations against the company, its staff, or agents.
- Physical assault, intimidation, or any form of violence.
- Discrimination or harassment based on any protected characteristic.
- Cyberbullying, online abuse, or offensive digital communication.
- Posting or publishing inaccurate or malicious online reviews intended to damage individuals or the company.
- Retaliation against anyone who reports or assists in addressing abusive conduct.
Reporting and Investigation
- Any individual who experiences or witnesses abuse, racism, or harassment should report it promptly to their manager, franchise owner, or OzSpy Head Office.
- All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly and impartially.
- Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found to have breached this policy.
Non-Retaliation
OzSpy strictly prohibits retaliation against any person who makes a complaint, participates in an investigation, or helps resolve a concern raised under this policy. Any act of retaliation will be treated as a separate and serious breach of policy.
Consequences
- Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract.
- If a client engages in abusive or harassing behaviour, OzSpy personnel will not remain onsite, and any onsite warranty will revert to back-to-base warranty.
- If an online customer uses abusive or threatening language, OzSpy reserves the right to cease telephone support and disregard communications containing offensive content.
- In severe or repeated cases, OzSpy may permanently blacklist offending individuals or entities.
- OzSpy reserves the right to take legal action where appropriate.
Additional Measures
OzSpy may implement further preventative actions such as refresher training, awareness campaigns, or updates to this policy to strengthen its effectiveness.
Site Access and Warranty
- Individuals who breach this policy may be refused access to OzSpy sites, services, or onsite support.
- Contractors or suppliers found in violation may have their service agreements suspended or terminated.
